Chlorotron is dedicated to developing and providing clean, affordable, abundant electricity through the utilization of a chloroplast biogel capable of harnessing natural photosynthetic processes to produce electricity. Billions of isolated, sub-cellular plant chloroplasts, imbedded in a biogel matrix, convert the energy of the sun's photons into biochemical energy and electrons. These electrons are then transferred to a platinum nono-filament grid producing electric current. Chloroplasts are easily extracted from the leaves of plants, are totally non-hazardous, are powered by the sun, renewable and generate oxygen as a by-product of the production of electricity.
As we move forward with developing Chlorotron, we will present data and progress reports as they become available.
